Oh-Be-Joyful Therapeutic Massage - Integrating the art and science of massage
Education:  I am a 2000 graduate of Crested Butte’s own school of massage therapy – the Mountain Heart School of Bodywork.  I received 850 hours of training and study in massage and related fields during the six-month program.    I have approximately 120 hours of additional training in a variety of bodywork and complementary therapies.  Most recently, I completed one of Whitney Lowe's workshops in Orthopedic Massage and I am currently pursuing certification in Orthopedic Massage.  I am a 2005 graduate of Western State College, in Gunnison, Colorado, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in human-centered Biology.

After graduating from massage school, I spent a couple of years working at Club Med, in Mt. Crested Butte, and at the Crested Butte Club in downtown Crested Butte.  I established Spring Creek Therapeutic Massage at Harmel’s Ranch Resort in the spring of 2001 and continued to practice massage and manage their spa for the following three summers.  I also taught Anatomy and Physiology courses at the Mountain Heart School, in addition to teaching several evening classes on couples massage and self-massage.

I established Oh-Be-Joyful Therapeutic Massage, in Crested Butte, one year after graduating from massage school and have maintained a consistent practice since that time.  Over the years, most of my clients have come in seeking relaxation massage.  While I love doing this type of work, I have also developed a special interest in more treatment-oriented therapies during the past several years.  I have worked on-site at several 24 Hours of Moab mountain bike races; the Crested Butte-Gunnison marathon; and was a member of the Bodyworks Sports Massage Team for the 2009 - 2011 Ride the Rockies bike tours.

I am a certified and registered massage therapist in Colorado and am a licensed massage therapist in Arizona.
